66 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy

This site no longer exists as it is the current site of the Atherton Towers. But in 1920, the building at 66 Brunswick Street was registered as a factory for the Fortress Machine Company, which was used for making boots. The factory proposed to hire 2 males. (Fitzroy City Press, 10 January 1920, p.2). There are no other references to the company beyond this that I have found as yet.
