I am Rachel and I am passionate about discovering the history of our houses and homes and of the people that made this community and society what it is today.
I am determined to create a free, single source of information on as many of the houses I can, pulling together research I have done, photos held by the libraries and other information. I am also part of the Fitzroy History Society.
This project is a passion, it is a part time exploration into history. I will try and record all my sources and information, but if I get it wrong, let me know. Ultimately I would love to tell the story of every house in this area, so please help me on my journey – share with me the stories, photos and information I haven’t yet found, especially photos that are pre-1980!
