40-42 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy

While many of our beautiful facades were lost in the 60s and 70s, it is good to see that some remained, including these at 40-42 Gertrude Street. You can see that they were in a pretty poor state from the photo below by Mario Cotela in 1983. There is much more research to be done on this and the neighbouring houses.
