This site was in 1888 was a set of five terraces owned by Frances Cook and one building or terrace owned by William Song. According to the Rate Book of 1888:

  • 212 was a wooden 6 room house – Elizabeth Ashworth (widow)
  • 214 – 3 room brick – John Brownhill (bootmaker)
  • 216 – 3 room brick – Henry G Mence (clicker)
  • 218 – 5 room brick – Edwin Rogerson (bootmaker)
  • 220 – 3 room brick – William JenKirsson (housedealer)
  • 222 – 3 room brick – James Howes (bootmaker)
