In this photograph are Nos. 28-32 (part), 26, 24, 22 & 20 (part). All “good brick” except No.20. a builders inspection of No. 24- ‘a structurally sound, clean little house conforming in almost every respect to the Housing Commission requirements’. Owner had spent c. $2000 to renovate the house. As of 2009 the terrace no, 20-26 survives, but not 28-30. Taken within the block Church Street-Rae Street- Nicholson Street. Targeted by Housing Commission, Victoria for broad scale demolition and construction of high rise apartment blocks. This was opposed by residents, both tenants and owners and factories.
