William Reynolds is a Bricklayer, Mason, Builder and Contractor. Over his life he built many of the homes in Fitzroy, Carlton and Fitzroy North. Built in 1889 by William Reynolds and Joseph James Oliver with their construction completed around the middle of the year. It is unknown who the architect for the buildings was. 482 Napier Street, is a six room, two storey brick dwelling with all conveniences. Built in 1889 by William Reynolds and Joseph James Oliver with their construction completed around the middle of the year. “Braiding”, 50 Queen’s Parade, Fitzroy North

Braiding was a double fronted brick villa, containing six rooms, stables and coach house – it was a substantial property with large gardens that were often used for entertaining. 484 Napier Street, North Fitzroy (Elizabeth Terrace)

484 Napier Street is a seven room two storey brick dwelling with all conveniences, initially with land of 19ft x 100. It also included a brick stable facing the right of way at the rear on land of 16ft 6 inches x 20 ft. 28 Westgarth Street, Fitzroy

In 1877, Elizabeth Hill owned 28 Westgarth Street, however in 1878 the ownership transferred to Margaret Hill and the in 1880 to Ann Hill. The records suggest that Margaret Hill again owned the property in 1884 after a brief stint of a Charles Crabtree owning the house in 1883 and 1884.
